Woman crashes into restaurant at New Salt Rock shopping centre
The driver suffered some moderate injuries, but luckily nobody else was hurt.

Patrons of Col’Cacchio Pizzeria in the New Salt Rock shopping centre were lucky to avoid injury after a woman in her 50s crashed through the restaurant window this evening.
At around 5.45pm, it is understood the woman lost control of her car before breaking through the exterior window and ending up on the floor of the restaurant.

It is understood that there was no indication of an accident or other cars involved.
She was moderately injured and nobody else was harmed, said Medi Response KZN spokesperson, Paul Herbst.

It is the second time in six months that a car has crashed into a storefront at the centre, after an elderly couple breached a laundry store in July last year.
Centre management and the restaurant owners opted not to comment when contacted by the Courier.
