Branch crushes car with mother and child inside

The mother and daughter were lucky to not suffer any injuries.

A mother and daughter were fortunate to escape injury when the branch of a tree fell on their car during the hail storm that ravaged the Dolphin Coast this afternoon.

“They were heading for Lucky Linton farm outside Shakaskraal driving towards the farm when the high wind caused a huge branch to break off and fall on the car,” said IPSS Medical Rescues Paul Herbst.

“They were lucky to not suffer any injuries.”

Herbst said the car was badly damaged.

The heavy branches caused considerable damage to the car.
