VIDEO: Police disperse violent protesters off N2 Shakas Head bridge

The cops used rubber bullets to chase protesters off the Shakas Head/ Chakas Rock bridge above the N2 just before 7am this morning where they had blocked the N2 with burning tyres.

The protestors are demanding the removal of ward four Cllr Jetro Banda and attempted to set fire to his house and car.

The highway and the R102 are now open.

However, Umhlali Police’s Vinny Pillay has urged the public to keep clear of the area as the mob has been attempting to reform and close the roads again.
