Traffic backed up on Ballito’s P445

Cars have been restricted to one lane going out of town.

It is hot, it’s a Friday and the P445 is down a lane.

The road has been narrowed to one lane between the circle and the Lifestyle centre going out of Ballito, which has caused some congestion and a few sweaty head shakes.

“The asphalting of the road has started again, therefore we had to close one lane. This will probably be done in one to two days,” said SMEC SA urban and social development general manager, Dave Duke.

After that, they will continue on the Ballito Junction side of the road leading into Ballito, which might lead to lane restriction on that side in a few days to come.

So leave 10 minutes earlier and take an extra bottle of water with you.
