Ballito will be without power tomorrow for most of the day with planned maintenance taking place.
The KwaDukuza Municipality (KDM) gave notice that there will be an interruption of electricity supply in the Southern area from 8am to 4pm Thursday, November 6 for the purpose of upgrading the network.
The areas that will be affected are Ballito, North up to Dolphin Crescent that includes the Caltex, KFC, BP and Boulevard shopping centre.
The CBD Spar area in Ballito, Zimbali Country Club, Zimbali Fairmont Lodge, Port Zimbali, Zema offices, Yellowwood Road area and Hilltop Estate will also have no power from 8am to 4pm.
“This is not load shedding, it is a planned shutdown to do some maintenance work,” said Nick Hall, electrical engineer at KDM Technical Department.
He said there is no load shedding planned at the moment.
