Three men were killed in an electrocution incident in Emona near Tongaat in this afternoon.

Netcare 911 paramedics were called to the scene by the local authorities.

Netcare 911 spokesperson Santi Steinmann confirmed that the men were electrocuted. She said the victims were aged between sixteen and twenty-three-years-old.

“A member of the public rushed the sixteen-year-old young man to hospital where the young man was declared dead upon arrival. Upon assessment of the two other men, paramedics confirmed that they two had died.”

The cause of the accident is still to be confirmed.
