Vehicle licensing office opens in Ballito

This facility at 10 Leonora Drive will only deal with car licence renewals.

As of Monday this week, motorists can renew their vehicle licences in Ballito.

This follows the closure of the municipal licensing offices in Salt Rock in September by the KwaZulu-Natal Transport Department owing to non-compliance of operating conditions.

The Salt Rock office has been plagued by issues for some years, declining into a structurally defunct building which prompted KwaDukuza municipality to renovate Nokukhanya Luthuli House in Ballito to serve as the new licensing offices.

This facility at 10 Leonora Drive will only deal with car licence renewals.

Other services will be available at the KwaDukuza driving licence testing centre.

Operating hours are weekdays from 8.15am to 2.30pm.
