Cable fault leaves parts of KwaDukuza in the dark

The estimated time to restore supply will be this afternoon.

A cable fault at the Lavoipierre Main Substation has left some areas of KwaDukuza without electricity this morning.

KwaDukuza municipality said cable terminations on Eskom’s point of supply had blown up.

This left areas such as KwaDukuza CBD, Stanger Manor, New Guilderland, Blythedale, Downside, Lindelani, Shakaville, Industrial area, Doesburg Lot 11, and Gledhow North in the dark.

KDM technicians and contractors are on-site working to restore supply.

It is estimated that power should be restored this afternoon.

You can report power outages to KDM Electricity via WhatsApp at 060 900 3908.
