ANC leaders have arrived at the Isithebe meeting about two hours late and people were upset.
The meeting was supposed to start at 1pm.
However, the meeting was over after about an hour with the protest appearing to have been resolved.
Forber mayor Magwaza was removed from his position at the Mandini municipality and ANC Ilembe chairman, Ricardo Mthembu said the 120 people arrested during the week will be released on Monday.
The crowd went through stages of unhappiness but eventually accepted their leaders’ solutions and dispersed peacefully and content.

Yesterday the ANC led Alliance in KZN visited and met various stakeholders to assess and search for a permanent solution to the current community protest in Isithebe.
The Alliance delegation led by the ANC Provincial Chairperson Sihle Zikalala was also joined by Mike Mabuyakhulu, MEC for Economic Development, Tourism and Environmental Affairs.
The leadership of the Alliance in the province said they are deeply concerned about the persisting community protest which has had a devastating impact in the lives of their people in Isithebe.
“This visit gave us an opportunity to be more informed and better aquainted about the nature of the problem, its origin and the impact in that community,” the delegation said in a joint statement.
“We understand the concerns raised by the community and we will work tirelessly to ensure that all of them are resolved in the best interest of all affected people. We had a constructive engagement with all stakeholders including the community representatives and all us have agreed that the solution to their problem is possible and attainable if we work together,” said Zikalala.
“The ANC is equally committed to consider and constructively resolve all problems resulting directly or indirectly from our own selection processes for Local Government Election.
“The ACDP believes that criminals are taking over SA communities under the guise of “protests”. SAPS has been both disempowered and demonised in SA. We have zero tolerance for criminals and believe in the death penalty.
