UPDATE: All quiet on the Isithebe front …for now

Courier journalist Sboniso Dlamini reporting from Isithebe said for now, the roads are clear.

All that is heard in Isithebe is the rumble of a number of SAPS vehicles and the footsteps of the IPSS security guards patrolling the streets of a “war-torn” Isithebe.
Committed Courier journalist on the ground, Sboniso Dlamini, said the fire at Distinctive Choice took almost an hour to be completely extistingished.

General mananger of Rural Metro in Mandeni, Rassie Erasmus said fire fighters managed to save half of the factory from burning.
“Fortunately only the storage area was burnt,” said Erasmus.

Fire fighters were protected by heavily armed guards.
