Five stolen vehicles recovered in KwaDukuza sweep

Collaborative effort also nets six wanted suspects.

Six wanted men were arrested and five stolen vehicles and an illegal firearm recovered in a police operation in KwaDukuza last Tuesday.

According to Fidelity Services Group communications head Charnel Hattingh, the police received assistance from the Specialised Intervention Unit (SIU), external air support, various law enforcement agencies and security companies.

She said the operation extended to Maphumulo and Nsuze where the collaborative efforts of the teams led to the recovery of five hijacked and stolen vehicles – a Toyota Quantum, Mitsubishi Colt, Hyundai H100, VW Polo and a Toyota Conquest.

An unlicensed 9mm pistol with its serial number filed off and ammunition were also confiscated.
