Violent crime incidents hit KwaDukuza townships

In one of the incidents, intruders armed with rifles and shotguns forced entry into a couple's house while they were asleep and stole various items.

Two people were killed and one wounded in a shooting in several crime incidents in KwaDukuza on Sunday night.

In Madundube, a 26-year-old man was beaten to death by a group of residents who suspected him of being involved in criminal activities in the area.

Police are trying to identify at least 10 people who they believe to be the leaders of the mob justice.

In Charlottedale, Groutville, an 18-year-old boy was stabbed to death, allegedly by his brother. The motive behind the murder is not known.

In the Congo area, Ntshawini, a couple survived a terrifying attack in their home.

Intruders armed with rifles and shotguns forced entry into the couple’s house while they were asleep and stole various items.

They then shot the man, leaving him with two gunshot wounds on his right arm.

Police are investigating a case of house robbery and attempted murder.
