Frantic search for baby abducted in Durban hijacking

A one-month-old baby was abducted in a hijacking in Durban central earlier today

Police are searching for a white Toyota Yaris which was taken in a hijacking from the City View Shopping centre in central Durban earlier today, reports The Berea Mail.

According to police spokesman, Thulane Zwane, two men accosted the woman who was walking with her eight-year-old daughter and one-month-old baby and allegedly took her car and fled with the baby.

Zwane said the child and vehicle are still missing.

Anyone with any information should contact any local SAPS immediately.

The registration of the car is ND 576 648.
