#BestofBallito: IPSS Security voted Ballito’s most trusted security leader

They received the community's seal of approval as Best Security Company.

The community has spoken, choosing IPSS Security as the best security company in The North Coast Courier Best of Ballito Readers’ Choice Awards for the third year in a row!

IPSS Security was built around the cornerstone of ‘community first’ and demonstrates this on a daily basis.

From protecting the town from burglars and car thieves, to working alongside Saps to remove land invaders and standing on the frontline during the riots in 2021, IPSS Security CEO Frank Labidi ensures his security officers are ready for anything.

“We don’t hesitate to help anyone in need, be they a client or not. Our philosophy is that all crime negatively affects the entire community and must be rooted out for the good of everyone,” said Labidi.

Labidi started the Salt Rock Neighbourhood Watch more than 22 years ago with a single goal in mind – make our community as safe as possible.

After only three months, Umhlali Saps reported that their efforts had helped reduce crime by an impressive 85%.

Labidi took his passion to the next level with the purchase of IPSS Security. He knew that with these resources as well as the expertise of IPSS Security COO Brennon Knott, who joined the team seven years ago, they could make their dream of a safer community a reality.

To be recognised once again for the role they play in making Ballito a great place to live means a lot to both men.

“It is an honour to be given the community’s seal of approval,” said Labidi, who continues to invest in cutting-edge security solutions.

Always one step ahead, they boast a fleet of over 25 vehicles and the most advanced, SAIDSA approved control room in KwaZulu-Natal (if not the country), with more than R6-million invested in artificial intelligence software and a widespread camera network.

Presently the company has more than 250 cameras spread throughout Ballito and Salt Rock, and monitors over 600 cameras inside several major estates and various homes in the area.

When things get hairy, they have a military grade armoured tactical intervention unit available, and for air support a helicopter takes fighting crime to another level.

“We have emerged as the most significant privately-owned security company on the Dolphin Coast. Thank you for your vote of confidence,” said Labidi.
