Netcare Alberlito Hospital welcomes vascular surgeon Dr Sindiswa Ntloko

Her approach ensures that surgery is not always necessary, providing comprehensive care for vascular issues.

Netcare Alberlito Hospital now offers vascular surgery, the newest addition to its growing list of specialties.

Vascular surgeon Dr Sindiswa Ntloko joined the hospital last month after returning from a year-long limb preservation fellowship in Canada.

Her introduction to Alberlito means you will no longer need to travel to eThekwini for vascular complications, while her expertise offers another dimension to emergency care.

“Vascular surgery encompasses all the blood vessels in one’s body, except for those in the heart and brain which are treated by other specialists,” said Dr Ntloko.

“My treatments cover a wide range of issues, from aneurysms and blockages, to gangrene, varicose veins and diabetic complications.”

Dr Ntloko said her passion and skill lies in saving the limbs of patients which may otherwise have needed amputation.

This was the focus of her research fellowship, which she completed through the University of Toronto last year.

She had previously worked at Inkosi Albert Luthuli Central Hospital, after finishing her studies at the University of KwaZulu-Natal.

“I offer a variety of treatments, both vascular and endovascular,” she said.

“That means treatments will not always lead to surgery unless absolutely necessary.”

Dr Ntloko may be new to Ballito, but she brings a wealth of experience in the vascular surgery field.

Her addition is a massive boost to the North Coast’s growing healthcare offering.

You can contact her at drsntloko@gmail.com or 032 946 6700.

Her offices are on the second floor of Netcare Alberlito Hospital.
