Ilembe Surf Riders set for SA champs
The junior champ event has historically launched the careers of some of the world's top surfers and this year's event is already showcasing some of the next top junior athletes in the sport.
A strong contingent of young North Coast surfers have been selected for the Ilembe Surf Riders team that will compete at the Sea Harvest SA Junior Champs this week.
The Champs will take place at Lower Point in Jeffrey’s Bay from September 25 – 29. The junior champ event has historically launched the careers of some of the world’s top surfers and this year’s event is already showcasing some of the next top junior athletes in the sport.

Last year the team event format changed from a provincial contest to a district challenge. Ilembe Surf Riders will be part of the nine teams participating in the championship.
