PICS: First day at ‘big school’ for Umhlali Prep grade ones

While many children were happy to settle in some were visibly nervous and a little scared on the first day of school as they were orientated to their new surroundings.

It was a busy day for Umhlali Preparatory grade ones who headed to “big school” on Tuesday.

For many little ones the experience culminated into a display of mixed emotions experienced by both children and parents.

While many children were happy to settle in some were visibly nervous and a little scared on the first day of school as they were orientated to their new surroundings.

Dropping their little ones off at school also proved emotional for some parents while teachers were at hand to help with the transition.
