Man escapes burning car uninjured
A woman was killed when two vehicles collided on the N2 between Tongaat and Ballito last night.
One person was killed, and two others injured in a car accident on the N2 South of Ballito, just after 9pm on Saturday night.
The driver of the chevy Spark was lucky to escape his vehicle shortly before it burst into flames.
“A woman and her husband were traveling in a Kia Picanto. She was killed on impact, while he received minor injuries,” said Rapid Care’s Paul Herbst
He said it appeared that one vehicle had rear-ended the other.
The highway was closed for 20 minutes as rescue workers cleared the wreckages and Netcare 911 treated the injured.
