It’s all systems go at the Salt Rock licensing office after technical problems were resolved and licensing staff have returned to work.
Fury mounted on the Dolphin Coast for almost five weeks after residents were turned away and forced to travel to KwaDukuza to sort out their vehicle licenses.

Two weeks ago the transport department repaired the faulty system after The Courier reported on the problem. However, the only employee authorized to use the licensing system was booked off sick a day later.
The employee reportedly returned to work last Tuesday and DA Salt Rock councilor Malcolm Hubner said confirmed that everything was running smoothly again.
“People do not need to travel to KwaDukuza any longer which I am sure will be a huge relief. The main problem was the technical error with the licensing system that the transport department took about five weeks to fix.”
