Car abandoned at King Shaka airport for 6 years

The car has a R150 000 plus parking ticket to its name.

Don’t you just hate having to pay for parking?

Well a Johannesburg businessman has rung up one mother-of-all parking bills after leaving his car parked in the same spot for more than 2000 days.

King Shaka International Airport’s Communication and Brand manager Colin Naidoo said the Kia Hatchback had been parked in the airport’s long term parking and now has more than a R150 000 bill to its name.

“We believe that the car has been abandoned. We have tried tracking down the owner but we have had no success.

“We will only release the car back to the owner and not to anyone else.”
