Opa!-to the class of 2016

Destiny Life Academy celebrated their matric class at their dance, entitled 'An Evening in Classical Greece'.

Opa! A word of celebration, which was the motto at Destiny Life Academy‘s recent celebration of their matric class at their dance, magically entitled ‘An Evening in Classical Greece’.

Destiny Life Academy principal, Niki Balkovic said the Collisheen Estate lent a superb backdrop to the classical decor of gold, white, splashes of blue and the occasional ivy tendril.

“One of the most noticeable showstoppers of the evening were the life-sized classical statues painted by Destiny Life Academy’s talented art teacher, Aimee Kruger,” said Balkovic.

The pupils and their partners were dressed to the nines and James Freedom from ‘The Voice’ entertained the matrics with magnificent music during the superb starters and dinner. The Matric Class of 2016 opened the dance floor with a waltz they had been preparing for a number of weeks. But the real fun began when they surprised the parents and guests with a spectacular ‘Zorba’.

From the venue, to the decor, music and food, the evening was a true celebration.
