What to do in Ballito this weekend

From the Salt Rock farmers market to hybrid heroes, there is something for everyone.

11 July – The Salt Rock Farmers Market every Thursday from 7am-12pm at Slow Roads Collective opposite Brettenwood estate main entrance.

13 July – Ballito author Jessica Dunienville to launch her book “A 40-day devotional” at Church Alive Ballito at 9am. RSVP by 6 July. Contact Jess at 081 779 1408.

14 July – Hybrid Heroes, welcome to the ultimate test of endurance, strength, and agility with a revamped endurance event that challenges the toughest Hybrid athletes to their core. Elite male/female 6 km, strength, endurance and speed stations R300 (pp). Tickets at entryninja.com.

– It’s a shore thing! Honeymooners tour at the Ballito Farmers Market, The Honeymooners are an Acoustic Folk / Country Duo from Johannesburg, 12pm, free entry.

15 July – Dolphin Coast Floral Art Club on Monday, 9.30am, Ballito Catholic Church, Townsend Road, Ballito. Join for a fabulous demonstration by Snooks Cole. Visitors R50. Contact Vaughn at 083 510 8792.

20 July – Umdloti full moon walk & beach picnic at 6.30pm, R169pp (R99 -U/13s). Bookings via Quicket.

21 July – Bloom Colour Run at the Manor House and Lalela Estate. Registration opens at 8.30am. The 5km ride starts at 9.30am and the 5km walk/run at 10am. Contact debbie@bloomcentre.co.za.

27 July – The Rise Up Movement invites you to participate in a MTB and Trail running event at Rain Farm Game Lodge. The event is a fun family day with kids’ activity areas with childminders, a 4km | 8km | 16km trail run and a 4km | 15km | 30km MTB ride. Contact diane@dopestudios.co.za.
