Zimbali Rotary celebrates 15 years of community service

The club has rasied R6.8-million to support charity and worthy community projects.

The Rotary Club of Zimbali celebrated its 15th anniversary and 2024 induction dinner at the Bushbuck Club in Zimbali last week.

Julie Cloete was inducted as club president for the fifth time by outgoing president Kosh Thaver.

Youngest Zimbali Rotarian, 18-year-old Nompilo Ngcobo and oldest Rotarian, Brian Elmes, cut the birthday cakes as Kosh Thaver looks on.

Rotarian Stanley Pillay was presented with a Paul Harris award for outstanding service to Rotary and Kobie Kritzinger and Nompilo Ngcobo were sworn in as new members.

Thaver said although the club was small, they were proud to have raised more than R6.8-million since 2010, all of which had been distributed to schools, charitable causes and projects that promote education, clean water and free health care, among others.
