Heavenly pedicure and pampering: Bella la Lupa review

Settling into the chair at Bella la Lupa I realised that the last time I had been for a beauty treatment was before the arrival of my baby girl, just over a year ago!
Time flies when you are up to your eyeballs in nappies and surviving on less-than-optimum sleep.
My face had taken a hammering with all the hormonal changes during pregnancy (not forgetting the bags under my eyes) and I was hoping that my beauty therapist would be able to help.
I was not disappointed. Melini Govender was both experienced and knowledgeable.
My T-Zone had become dry, and felt like sand paper, with tendencies to flare up with contact dermatitis. I had been to a dermatologist previously but they had been no help at all. The products I was prescribed actually made it worse.
Melini started me off with the Active Rejuvenation facial from Nimue, followed by a head, neck and shoulder massage.
The facial is an active treatment with 15% bio-active complex that is supposed to encourage dermal rejuvenation, reduce pore size and improve elasticity and radiance.
It is designed to treat environmentally damaged skin, hyper-pigmentation and problematic skin including acne, sun damage, age spots, lines, wrinkles and dull, dehydrated skin. The treatment was incredibly relaxing and left my skin feeling soft and rejuvenated.
The pedicure was a real treat too, and sent me directly to seventh heaven.
The salon’s cleanliness and professionalism were top-notch, and I left with glowing skin and perfectly groomed feet. It was a perfect escape from daily stresses (a pampered mom is a happy mom), and I can’t wait to book my next appointment.
