Rough seas lead to swim ban at KwaDukuza beaches

Lifeguard superintendent Bongani Xulu says the situation will be reasessed on Monday.

A temporary swimming ban was introduced at all KwaDukuza beaches yesterday because of rough sea conditions.

The beaches affected are Zinkwazi, Blythedale, Salt Rock, Thompson’s, Willard, and Clark Bay.

The ban will remain in place throughout the weekend, and according to lifeguard superintendent Bongani Xulu, the situation will be reassessed on Monday.

He urged the public not to enter the water as it was unsafe to swim in these conditions.

Lifeguards are monitoring the situation closely.
