Crawford International North Coast College celebrates a remarkable 100% pass rate.

Crawford International College North Coast celebrated a remarkable 100% pass rate and honoured its top-performing students last Thursday.

The Class of 2023 were congratulated on their outstanding achievements, including a total of 136 distinctions with an average of 2.03 distinctions per student.

Crawford International College North Coast campus head Samantha Smit with top achievers Dhivya Naicker (2nd), Daisy Pybus (1st), Skyla Tyack (3rd) and college principal Elainee Kistan.

Daisy Pybus emerged as the highest achiever with an impressive 94.62% average and 8 IEB distinctions.

The North Coast boarder excelled in all her subjects – life sciences (95%), English (95%), Afrikaans (94%), dramatic arts (94%), information technology (94%), life orientation (96%), marine sciences (76%), mathematics (93%), physical sciences (89%), and further studies mathematics (78%).

Attributing her success to effective time management and a thorough understanding of her schoolwork, Pybus said she plans to study medicine at the University of Cape Town.

Claiming second position was Ballito’s Dhivya Naicker with an overall score of 90.92% and 8 IEB distinctions. Naicker earned 94% for mathematics, 93% for accounting, 92% for Afrikaans, 89% for English, 96% for life orientation, 91% for life sciences, 84% for physical sciences and 86% for further studies mathematics.

Naicker will delve into bioinformatics and computational biology at Stellenbosch University.

Expressing pride and relief, Dhivya’s father Deena commended his daughter’s consistency over the years.

Skyla Tyack claimed third position with an overall percentage of 86.62% and 6 IEB distinctions. Tyack’s notable achievements included an impressive 98% in engineering graphics and design (EGD), 94% in visual arts, 82% in Afrikaans, 86% in English, 88% in life orientation, 79% in mathematics and 80% in physical sciences.
