Pageant beauties with heart

The Pumpkin Theatre at La Montagne buzzed with excitement as contestants walked the catwalk on Saturday.

The Pumpkin Theatre at La Montagne buzzed with excitement as contestants walked the catwalk on Saturday, vying for the titles of Miss, Mr & Mrs KZN Ambassador.

The competition featured 25 categories, with each participant required to undertake their own charity projects.

Nine-year-old Kayleigh Reddy won two sashes. She won the overall Petite KZN Ambassador award and was also KZN Ambassador’s second princess in the junior category.

Organiser Karen Landman highlighted the thorough preparation the finalists underwent during a workshop in November.

The workshop covered essential topics such as First Aid, initiating community projects, self-defense, social media marketing and public speaking.

The goal was to equip the contestants with a diverse skill set to not only excel in the competition but also to make a meaningful impact in their respective communities.

Linique Nathaniel was the Mrs Ambassador KZN 1st Princess, Miss Philantropic winner and Overall Community Project winner.

The contestants’ commitment to their charity projects reflected the pageant’s emphasis on social responsibility.
