#Letter: Unhygienic toilet facilities unacceptable

"I am disgruntled that they have the audacity to charge a fee for a place like that" - Sue Whitcher.

Sue Whitcher of Ballito writes:

While buying KFC for my grandchild, she informed me she urgently needed to go to the toilet.

I went to the BP shop where they told me to pay R2 to use the facilities.

Well, I was disgusted about the state of the toilets – dirty with urine on the seat that was loose, so I had to remove it so my four-year-old could sit.

Needless to say she couldn’t go.

I am disgruntled that they have the audacity to charge a fee for a place like that.

We will be reconsidering our current hourly schedule based on the high traffic volumes as we would like to ensure that our facility is kept in a good and acceptable standard.

We strive to provide our customers with the best possible experience and when we fail to meet expectations, it’s important for us to know.
