Letter: Sin is the real virus

"Sin is a far more serious 'virus' than Covid-19 and the average, unregenerate person is neither concerned nor aware that every person is born with a sin nature" - Dick and Yvonne Harris.

Dick and Yvonne Harris of Salt Rock write:

The real point regarding Covid-19 is that at the end of the day, we are all going to die!

Whether we are run over by a bus, die from Covid-19 or from the vaccination itself or die peacefully in our sleep, God says we shall surely die (Gen.2:17).

Sin is a far more serious ‘virus’ than Covid-19 and the average, unregenerate person is neither concerned nor aware that every person is born with a sin nature.

Nor do they understand, or want to understand, that unless we are forgiven by a holy and righteous God, we will die spiritually in our sin.

The Bible tells us very clearly: “And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.” (Matt.10:28).

The Lord Jesus Christ died on the cross in order to become a propitiation for our sin.

In other words, He took our place/stood in our stead on the Cross of Calvary so that He could become sin for us so that we could be made in right standing before a holy God who is a righteous Judge who cannot even look on sin.

So, the point is not have you, or have you not, been vaccinated for this Covid-19 virus?

It is, has your sin nature been dealt with?

Have you been born again and is Jesus Christ your Lord and Saviour?

Have you been converted by God so that you will live forever?

Jesus says “I am the resurrection, and the life: he who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live. And whoever lives and believes in Me shall never die. Do you believe this?” (Jn.11:25-26).

Don’t get side tracked by “Coronavirus” mania as it is yet another smokescreen to keep our eyes off God and His plan of salvation for man.

Start reading your Bible and start asking questions about your Deadly Sin Virus and what can be done about it?

This really is a matter of life or death.

We are in our 80s and are not the tin foil hat or lizard people! We are Christians who are looking forward to everlasting life in glory with our Lord Jesus Christ.

What we die of really isn’t the issue.

The issue is whether or not we know Jesus and whether we know where we are going when we die physically!

God will never turn away anyone who comes to Him.
