Xandra Galhardo who has been in the restaurant business for more than 25 years.

The location on Sandra Road is ideal for North Coast residents and delivery options will be available once the store opens on April 17.

“We are really making an effort to have a personal relationship with our clients. If they need meal plans, fully cooked nutritious meals or anything in between, then we can make it happen,” said Kenyon.

A Ballito resident with a passion for healthy living, Kenyon has been working on Yum Foods for almost 3 years.

“I had been living in Qatar for 4 years when the idea for Yum Foods really started to come together. While I was there, I did consulting for a number of high-end clients and restaurants.”

Marina Hefers is 1/5th of the dynamic team behind Yum Foods and has had a lifelong passion for healthy living.

She is bringing that international experience back to the North Coast along with partners Xandra Galhardo and Kenyon’s mother, Marinda Hefers.

The team is further aided by Kenyon’s brother, Ryno Hefers who is the IT Manager for Yum Foods and Jeandré Small (@thealphastrong), a Ballito-born fitness specialist based in Doha.

“Stop worrying about what to eat, when to eat or how to find time to prepare your healthy meals with your busy schedule. Instead come to Yum Foods and let us do the thinking and calculating for you,” said Small.

The wealth of knowledge in the restaurant and health industries that the team brings will no doubt be invaluable as Yum Foods opens.

Ryno Hefers is the IT Manager at Yum Foods and is excited to be a part of the family team when Yum Foods launches on April 17.

“We won’t try to force people into a diet they are not comfortable with. Our aim is to make genuinely delicious food that is also really good for you so that it is easier to stick to an eating plan,” said Hefers.

Although there will be unique grab-and-go meals daily, Yum Foods can create meals that are dietary-specific, meaning those with allergies or health conditions will be catered for.

“We are also not just creating meals for health-conscious adults. As a mother I know how difficult it can be to make healthy food for children so we are keeping everyone in mind when making the menu,” said Kenyon.

At the official opening on April 17, families are encouraged to come to the store between 6am and 4pm to enjoy sample snacks and coffees.

Jeandré Small (@thealphastrong), has partnered with Yum Foods, bringing a strong fitness and health background to the team.

The food will be prepared using locally-sourced and organic ingredients where possible, ensuring a quality end product.

Yum Foods have also partnered with Protein Fix and Skinny Foods and will carry their lines in store.
