Many of the effected areas have already had power restored.

Parts of Salt Rock, Sheffield, Brettenwood and Sheffield Manor suffered a power outage today after a third party contractor reportedly damaged a cable at midday.

According to a senior manager at KwaDukuza municipality electrical department the contractor hit a 33kv supply cable while working in the Seaton Estate development.
