As many as 13 people were injured Thursday morning when a truck rear-ended a stationary minibus taxi along the N3 South bound, near the Hammersdale offramp in KwaZulu-Natal.
Shawn Herbst, spokesperson for Netcare 911, reports from the scene indicate that the driver of a mini-bus taxi had stopped and was struck from behind by a tipper truck.
“Paramedics assessed the scene and found that thirteen occupants of the taxi sustained injuries ranging from minor to moderate,” said Herbst..
He said the injured were treated on scene. “Once they were stabilised they were transported to hospital.”
