Fifteen people were injured after a taxi overturned on the R103 Harrismith Road outside Ladysmith in KwaZulu Natal, said emergency services provider ER24 on Wednesday.
ER24 spokesperson Russel Meiring said their paramedics, along with other emergency services, arrived on the scene to find the taxi lying on its roof on an embankment. He said the passengers had already climbed out of the vehicle.
“Paramedics assessed the patients and found that 15 people had sustained minor to moderate injuries. Fortunately, no serious injuries or fatalities were found,” said Meiring.
The patients were treated for their injuries and transported to nearby hospitals for further treatment. Local authorities were on the scene for further investigations, he added.
