The South African Weather Service said yesterday wet conditions are expected in the Eastern Cape.
Speaking to The Citizen yesterday, weather forecaster Jan Vermeulen said there is still a 60% chance of showers and thundershowers today.
“We anticipate a 30% chance of rainfall on Saturday as well as on Sunday,” Vermeulen said.
“Daytime temperatures are expected to range between 21°C and 24°C between today and Sunday,” he said.
Meanwhile, Gauteng residents planning to go and view Madiba lying in state at the Union Buildings in Pretoria today and tomorrow, can also expect a 30% chance of showers and thundershowers.
Vermeulen added that maximum temperatures are set to be in the early 30s.
