Man in court for murder of Defence Minister`s son

Chumani Nqakula’s alleged killer will appear in court Today.

The man accused of stabbing Chumani Nqakula, 23, will appear in the Johannesburg Magistrate’s Court on Monday.

Chumani, the son of Defence and Military Veterans Minister Nosiviwe Mapisa-Nqakula, was fatally stabbed to death on Saturday in Bezuidenhout Valley, Johannesburg.

The suspect, who is thought to be someone the deceased knew, was arrested at the weekend

Messages of condolences from the department and the ANC have been sent to the defence minister and her husband Charles Nqakula, the former minister of safety and security.
