According to Eyewitness News, the 27-year-old soccer player was driving a VW Golf GTI at the time of the accident when two vehicles collided on Spine Road just before the N2. Orlando Pirates player Kermit Romeo Erasmus tweeted this morning, sending condolences to the soccer star’s family.
Ajax Cape Town posted on its Facebook page, confirming the death of the soccer star, they said: ” It is with great sadness that we learn about the passing of our brave warrior Cecil Lolo this morning. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family and friends of Lolo.”
The football club said it will release an official statement in due course.
