International relations spokesman Clayton Monyela said the meeting in Colombo would take place from Friday to Sunday.

Zuma would be accompanied by International Relations and Co-operation Minister Maite Nkoana-Mashabane.

She would lead a South African delegation at a pre-CHOGM meeting of foreign ministers on Wednesday and Thursday.

Monyela said the theme of the CHOGM was “Growth with Equity: Inclusive Development”.

“This emphasises the importance of equity in economic development and that inclusive development should provide opportunities to all members of society,” he said.
