“The outcome will determine the action to be taken,” Gauteng education spokesman Gershwin Chuenyane said on Thursday.
“We will be interacting with the school governing body on how to proceed with the matter as pupil discipline lies with them.”
Beeld newspaper reported that Jaco Janse van Rensburg, 18, allegedly broke into the school and left the nude photos on a teacher’s desk.
He was reportedly granted bail when he appeared in the Kempton Park Magistrate’s Court on Wednesday on a burglary charge. He allegedly broke into the school in September.
He also faced a charge of crimen injuria, in connection with the nude images, the newspaper reported.
It was not known whether anything was stolen during the school break-in.
Chuenyane said Janse van Rensburg had been removed from the school environment and was writing his matric exams under supervision at the department’s district office.
According to Beeld, the case was postponed until December for further investigation.
