NFP leader killed in KZN

The chairwoman of the NFP's Ward Four, Ulundi, in KwaZulu-Natal, has been shot dead, the party said on Tuesday.

Phumelele Buthelezi’s body was found on Monday evening, said National Freedom Party secretary general Nhlanhla Khubisa.

Police said Buthelezi, 36, was found with a gunshot wound to her body on a gravel road at Stetema Reserve.

The motive for the killing was not known at this stage, said Captain Thulani Zwane.

No arrests had been made and investigations were continuing.
