Three employees of Bidvest Prestige are expected to appear in the Bafokeng Magistrate’s Court in Tlhabane, North West on Wednesday, on charges of public violence.

Spokesperson Captain Paul Ramaloko said the three employees, said to be in their 20s, were part of a group that took part in an illegal protest at the Impala Simunye number 8 Hostel and vandalised the company’s machines.

Ramaloko said the men had complained about their salaries after their employer failed to give them the salary increase they had expected.

More arrests were on the card as Phokeng detectives are tracing more suspects in connection with public violence, intimidation and malicious damaged to property related to this incident.
