ER24 spokesperson Chitra Bodasing said it was understood that the man was driving and was ejected from the vehicle when it overturned on Wednesday evening. Bodasing said when paramedics arrived they found the man under the vehicle.

“Paramedics assessed him and found that he sustained multiple severe injuries. Sadly he had succumbed to his injuries,” Bodasing said.

“The woman, believed to be six months pregnant, was found sitting on the pavement with her child. The woman and child, believed to be three-years-old, were assessed and found to have sustained minor injuries.”

Bodasing said the two were treated on the scene before they were transported to hospital.

The cause of the accident is not known and would be investigated.
