A 20-year-old dwarf who went missing in KwaZulu-Natal has been found, police said on Thursday.

Captain Thulani Zwane said police had established that Nadia van Wyk left home “freely and voluntarily”.

“On [Wednesday] at approximately 12.30pm Van Wyk was found in Chatsworth… She was united with her family,” Zwane said.

Last week, police went searching for the 1.1m tall woman from Durban South.

She had left home without telling anyone where she was going. Police said Van Wyk had never left home before without a member of her immediate family.
