“The four out of the possible ten suspects who were sought for cash-in-transit at Soshanguve Mall in July, will appear before the Pretoria Magistrate’s Court following their arrest on Wednesday,” spokesman Brigadier Hangwani Mulaudzi said.
“The quartet and others, aged between 29 and 37, allegedly stormed the mall during a pension pay-out and made way with an undisclosed amount of money. Ten elderly women were injured during the ordeal.”
Mulaudzi said a VW Caddy, which was used during the robbery, was recovered and investigations revealed that the vehicle was hijacked in Mooi Nooi.
The four men took the Hawks to a house in Soshanguve, north of Pretoria, where they allegedly shared the money. Several plate numbers which were used during the robbery were recovered.
He said the owner of the house was also charged as an accessory.
