Teacher admits relationship with teenager

A female teacher at Mahikeng High School, in North West, has admitted having a sexual relationship with a teenage boy at his home in Denville.

Geraldine Sheldonlake was appearing in the Mmabatho Regional Court, SABC news reported on Tuesday.

The boy testified they had sex several times in Mahikeng and also in Cape Town.

He said he was enticed by gifts and money, and was 16 when the relationship began. The boy said the relationship severely affected him.

Judgment was expected this week, the SABC reported.
