The court heard that Hlengwa, 37, was admitted in hospital on Monday, which coincided with the date set in July for the continuation of their trial.

Prosecutor Cheryl Naidu (Correct) told Acting Judge Blessing Msane that the doctor who treated Hlengwa had confirmed yesterday that Hlengwa would be fit to continue with the trial today. Msane had ordered that the investigating officer go to the hospital and find out Hlengwa’s state of health.
