Jordaan tweeted a photo of two cars, smashed up and burnt. He wrote: “Hi guys. my brother @Dewaldjordaan was in big accident.he and the lady are critical! Please pray for them”
Addressing the emergency medical response team, he also tweeted: “Many thanks to @ER24EMS for their work on the scene.very professional and quick and good! Thanks a lot”
According to a notification of the accident on ER24’s blog, a “young man and woman have suffered extensive injuries following a head on crash on De Villabois Mareuil Drive between Atterbury and Garsfontein Drive in Pretoria this morning”.
Paramedics arrived on the scene of a collision between two light hatchback vehicles, with caught fire shortly after the crash. The blog credits bystanders who stopped at the scene and quickly pulled the drivers of both vehicles from the wreckages with saving their lives.
The ER24 alert adds that “a young woman in her 20’s had suffered extensive injuries and she was in an excruciating amount of pain” and that “the young man who had been driving the second vehicle was also in a critical condition having suffered multiple and extensive broken bones as a result of the impact.”
In a cruel twist of fate, Dewald Jordaan was the one speaking to the media back in April when Arno crashed his car after swerving for a truck carrying gas bottles.
