Robbery at Umlazi mall condemend

Two Ekurhuleni Metro Police Department (EMPD) officers were shot and wounded while controlling traffic in Ivory Park, Tembisa in eastern Johannesburg.

Police spokesman Major Mack Mngomezulu said the two were shot at by a motorist while controlling traffic on Sunday night. ”It is not yet clear what caused the shooting, but information so far is that one of the motorists opened fire at them.They were rushed to hospital for treatment,” he said.

The motorist fled the scene, no arrest have been made.

In the past week, four police officers were killed in the hands of criminals. A member of the Johannesburg Metro Police Department (JMPD) was shot and killed at a shopping complex during an armed robbery.
