1,000 cellphone starter packs found along North West road

Seven sealed boxes containing 1,144 cellular phone starter packs were found dumped along the Brooksby-Mooifontein road near Mahikeng, North West police said on Friday.

Police spokesperson Major Pelonomi Makau said the starter packs were from the three main cellphone service providers, Vodacom, Cell C and MTN.

“According to the information, the boxes were found by a passer-by who reported the matter to the police in Mooifontein. The police are appealing to anybody who might have lost the boxes of the cellphone starter packs to contact Mooifontein Police Station on: 018 336 1157/0/1 or Captain Mokaleng on 082 822 3225,” she said.
