Senior forensic analyst, Captain Phineas Masetla on Thursday morning told the South Gauteng High Court sitting in Palm Ridge that not enough DNA from the knife that was allegedly used to stab and kill Dolly Tshabalala was obtained.

However, he told the court that DNA results from a white LG fridge, toilet and pair of trousers the deceased was wearing matched.

Masetla is among the witnesses called to testify in the murder trial against former Jozi FM DJ Donald Sebolai.

He also explained what DNA meant. “DNA from the blood, semen or any part of the human body is the same.

“The DNA does not change…it remains the same throughout any person’s life, except for identical twins,” Masetla said.

Court has adjourned momentarily.
