Police spokesperson Sergeant Kealeboga Molale said the two men were sitting at the deceased home yesterday at about 7pm and the deceased wanted his memory stick.  An argument ensued over the stick as the suspect did not have it and the deceased started assaulting the suspect.  The suspect went to a kitchen to take a knife and stabbed him once under his arm.  The deceased died on the spot.

Molale added the suspect was arrested and will appear in the Atamelang Magistrates’ Court on Monday facing a murder charge.

In a separate incident, a man was arrested for allegedly stabbing a friend to death in Kagiso, near Krugersdorp, Gauteng.

“The suspect had visited the deceased’s place in Kagiso 1 in December 2014, where they enjoyed drinks together. While drinking and enjoying music, an argument ensued over the type of music his friend was playing,” said Sibiya.

The man left after another friend who was with them managed to calm them down.

“Later, their friend, who was a few meters away, heard the deceased screaming for help and calling his name. He noticed the suspect leaving the deceased’s shack and [that he had] a sharp object in his hand.”

He found the man lying on the floor and bleeding from stab wounds to the upper body. He died on arrival in hospital.
